This page is the second largest on this site (450 KB). It is a large comprehense resource of annotated links to 4000 icons grouped by country, in 23 different countries. (Included in the 4000 is the 1000 icons of the "Icons for Sale" page, further down.)
Icons of the Coptic Church
A special chapter on the Medieval Icons Links page is devoted to the Icons of the Coptic Church.
Exhibitions & Collections (Links to Special Exhibitions & Private Collections)
Icon Collections in this chapter are permanently open to the public. Special Exhibtions in this chapter
are not permanently open. They come and go. That's because usually the organizers gather together
works from various locations and owners anywhere in the world for a finite period of time ranging from
one week to about four months or more.
Frescoes & Mosaics
Links to about 20 major websites can be found together in the Frescoes and Mosaics Chapter
Ancient Byzantine Icons for Sale
The Icons for Sale page is an extension of the Medieval Byzantine Icons Links page. The page links to about 1000 icons, again grouped by country (the 1000 is included in the 4000 of the Medieval Icons Links page). The page is separate because all icons are for sale. On the page mention is made, by name, of the people or organizations that collect and sell these ancient byzantine icons. Most establishments are located in Europe. Many icons are of high quality and most of the people that sell them are truly experts who love icons.
Exhibitions & Collections
The Icon Collections on this page are public collections, permanently open to the public. Exhibtions are public as well, but most are not permanently open. They come and go. This results from the fact that when organizing an exhibition, the organizers gather together works, for viewing by the public, from various locations and owners from anywhere in the world for a finite period of time ranging from one week to about four months or more.
Byzantine Art and Icon Tours
Fr. Gotlinsky - Unique Russian Icon Tour (2006)
Fr. Ilya Gotlinsky is an Orthodox priest established in the US. He has extensive organized travel
experience and obviously loves icons. Since Fr. Ilya is Russian and developed many excellent

go places where very few are allowed.
