Kathleen M. Anderson
IconographerThe challenges of life made the artist
develop a profound spiritualilty. Eventually, in 1989, she discovered Orthodox
icons. Writing icons soon became a passion, while at the same time providing
her with the opportunity to show her creative talent as an artist.
A
self-taught iconographer, she has written a number of icons, many of them
having been commissioned. The one she is most proud of is the icon of Saint
Anne with the Theotokos and the Child, shown to the left. To fully appreciate
the icon, click the image to enlarge it. Then, in the larger image, click the
faces to see the beautiful and telling facial expressions of Saint Anne, the
Theotokos and the Child.
